Anna Brown

Actor - Musician - Teaching Artist

Hey there! I'm Anna! Thanks for stopping by!

Some of my specialties include:

A bit about me...

I've lived in some nook or cranny of the greater Chicagoland area my whole life. At age 5, after relentlessly begging my poor parents, they caved and signed me up for piano lessons. And the rest is history. I participated in private piano and violin lessons, orchestra, theatre, dance, volleyball, and cub scouts (don't ask) at various points in my adolescence, thus kick-starting my workaholism at a very young age.

In the summer preceding my senior year of high school, I was accepted into the inaugural Musical Theatre Intensive program at The Goodman Theatre here in Chicago. This program completely changed my view on the performing arts and ultimately the trajectory of my career. I went on to pursue my Bachelor of Arts in music theatre at Carthage College, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and have worked at various professional performance venues such as Six Flags Great America, Music Theatre Works, and Provision Theater. I also love sharing my love of the arts with children and have been working as a teaching artist for many years, both independently as well as with other established organizations, such as Beyond Center Stage Performing Arts Academy and CYT Chicago.

In addition to voice/theatre performance and arts education, I enjoy being a freelance violinist and piano accompanist, playing for any and all events from weddings to student recitals.

What's next?

I am very excited to be performing in It's a Wonderful Life: The Live Radio Play with Provision Theater this holiday season!
